"The Ten-Petal Anemone, Tenpetal Thimbleweed, Texas Anemone, Southern Anemone, Glade Flower (Anemone berlandieri) achenes bursting forth from their chambers - They are held in the "thimble" by the green structures as well as a clear, shiny membrane (but my eyes could be deceiving me). The elliptical, flat, curve-beaked , 2.7-3.5 × 2.2-2.5 mm achenes themselves are not shiny being covered in fine hairs." Click here to discuss this photo.
