A variegata - aka Red Ring Milkweed bloom just beginning to open
White milkweed found along edge of woods in East Texas, May 2009.
A single bloom, what a delight to find deep in the woods.
Double blooms on a single stalk are not uncommon. The yellow blooms have not opened yet.
This one stalk grew out of no where 2 years ago, did not come back last year I guess due to drought situations but alas has returned this year! Very cool Plant!
