Plant in bloom
My all time favorite water plant.
Lizard's Tail in it's native habitat. Taken at Markham Springs (National Forest Service site) at Williamsville, MO, June 2003. Growing in lightly moving spring (cold!) water in shade of large trees.

Here this plant blooms in late spring. I have it in my bog area.
Volunteer in our Lily Pond. A very nice looking plant.
Lizard's Tail found growing at the Wildscape in Veterans Park.
Lizard's Tail, Saururus cernuus, at the Dallas Arboretum.
Beautiful plant in pond inlet.
A flower unfurls
Lizard Tail clump growing in a damp shaded part of my yard.
After it flowers it has a long lasting mass of green leaves at the edge of the pond.
