Striking double tulip.
Lots of petals give this tulip a wonderful peony-like appearance. No two blooms are alike.
Close up of bloom interior (sorry a bit out of focus)
Another completely different look of 'Angelique'. I love them because they are so individual
First spring since planting. This taken the day after severe frost 05
Very 'romantic' looking flower.
Side view of Angelique tulip.
Angelique tulips, most still greenish, fresh cut from the garden. Makes a gorgeous cut flower.
Fresh from the garden, opened after 36 hours in the house. Cut from the garden with closed, green buds, ready to open.
Smaller blooms (after I cut the largest bloom per bulb for the vase) opened; they look like roses.

Spring 08, first year blooms
Planted with Margarite Tulips, it is very stunning. 1st year - 2010, we will see next year.
Pictures don't do it justice. It is beautiful. It looks fantastic with the dark burgandy tulips.
