"The desert bird of paradise is nearly 3' tall when i first planted it in April of 1999. It took a while for it to recover from the shock of being transplanted. It produced very showy flowers and leaves thereafter. During Fall season - it shed off all its leaves, but when the warmer days of Spring comes it start to develop into a nice bush such as what u see now."
