Just planted these a few weeks ago, although late start in the season, looks like they may have time to bloom.
Planted in pot June 28, 2002 and blooms open on July 29 only 30 days.
A truly beautiful plant, although the flowers are very short lived, the leaves, strap form, have a lovely lush green colour
There were four flowers on each plant, all coming from a central stock, and pointing N,S,E, & W. This plant also has a beautiful fragrance.
I have had this bulb for 8 years, just moved it 2 years ago and this year fed it with bulb food and time release fertilizer. It is blooming for the first time. The leaves are giant and sword-shaped. It is similar to the amarylis next to it, but much, much larger. It is said to bloom in July. My first bloom was June 27th. It has quite a few more buds.
peruvian daffodil 2003
I planted 2 Peruvian Daffodil bulbs last spring thinking they bloomed in the summer. They did not bloom until May of this year. It was worth the wait. (San Antonio, Tx.)

Peruvian Daffodil (Spider Plant/Spider Lily). One of my favorite garden bulbs. Spectacular flowers.
Potted up 3 bulbs on 5/4 and they bloomed 6/6. Quick results but not fragrant as claimed.

Bought this in a package at local grocery store $2.99. Flower is quite exotic but doesn't last too long. I will have to lift bulb for winter storage 5b .
