"Sweet Wattle leaf in Tasmania, Australia, April 1973. This picture shows the transition from a true bipinnate leaf, to a phyllode (flattened leaf stalk). The first few leaves are bipinnate. This intermediate stage shows the flattened leaf stalk, with a small bipinnate leaf at the end."
