R. 'Boudoir' at the Missouri Botanical Garden
The flowers are that kind of pink that's very hard to capture on film. It's not light, but not a hot magenta. The leaves are light green, turning darker through summer.
A prolific bloomer!
This was taken at the end of December.
This gives an idea of color, in comparison with R. 'Bixby' in the left foreground, and R. 'Stewarsonian' on the right. This is well into the bloom time, so R. 'Boudoir' flowers have faded a bit.
Seedlings from seed collected last fall. For a sense of scale they are planted in a Jello cup, the rim is visible in the upper corners of the picture.
