datura metel, black currant swirl
I started this Datura from seeds inside in the winter and they are very slow to get going. They wait till the really warm days come to shoot up. They are really worth waiting for though.
Three distinct horns. Totally neglected, yet prolific. Semi-shade location, Florida west coast.
My first Datura, in a pot because I'm not sure where I want it to end up.
Datura metel 'Black Currant Swirl'
I just love the double blooms and the swirl of colors in the middle. It would be great if the bloom lasted more and a day or so.
