"The 'Barbara Karst' flowers are tiny and white. The red structures are called "bracts". I trim off the colorful tips of the bougainvillea before the first freeze, let them dry and place the bracts in clear vases and bowls, use them in potpourri and flower arrangements and in many other ways. "
