It's 3 ft tall and it's leaves are just like my Tall Yellow Iris, much bigger than most daylily I've owned.

A real survivor! This was buried under plastic and landscaping rock, and shot up and bloomed- what a surprise!

Almost invasive. Constantly digging up new shoots. Pot up extras for garden club sale.
A double bloomer!
This ditch lily was found at an abandoned homesite that has been unoccupied for at least 40 years. Note the double form.
Backed up by white pine

A close-up of Hemerocallis 'Kwanso' also known as 'Kwanzo'. June 2009
I "rescued" these from the yard of a long-vacant house on my street which is probably going to be demolished this year. I'm glad they're aggressive!
I like the combo with the hydrangea. It will work even better if/when I remember to add garden sulfur to the soil around the hydrangea to make it more blue!
Every year I vow to get this out of garden; every year I relent when it blooms!
Got one from a friend a few years ago, by now I must have 50
