This lovely plant is native to a couple of the Channel Islands off the coast of S.California. It grows readily and rapidly from seed. Grows outdoors in Mediterranean climates like my back yard. :-)Photo indoors for clarity on 5-6-2004 by WTH
My mother planted these 40 yrs ago in Southern Monterey County.
On Anacapa Island, California - though native to Anacapa, it seems this plant was planted in this spot for the education of visitors
