Miscanthus sinensis Giganteus - Summer 2001
Late May 2002. Still has several more feet to grow and then bloom. Gets about 14' tall in northern zone 6 where I am, in partial shade (less than ideal sun exposure).
Stems close up. When they dry autumn, they are like bamboo and really tough. I use them for plant stakes.
Late summer 2003. Almost blooming, but not yet. Will be even taller at that point!
