3 year old root
Yam ready for cooking
A handful of 'potatoes' from Dioscorea oppositifolia. Produces great quantities which sprout when they drop. Not for the faint of heart in the garden. 2007
Dioscorea oppositifolia covers a cattle panel used as an arch by our front gate. Drops hoards of tiny potatoes each year; which sprout if allowed to stay on the ground. 2007
The foliage is attractive, but the plant is very vigorous. Potatoes drop and sprout everywhere. 2007
Growing in a rocky area, hence the odd shapes
