close-up of bloom
I found this beautiful flower in a shady spot, at mid-May. It had been a dry April & wet May.
Trillium Erectum after the rain. This one seems to have the red on the other leaves also.
We have never planted this, it just grows wild in our Maine woods.
The nicest maroon color form I had seen!
This plant was about 1 foot tall with leaves about 5 inches across.
normal form of the cream color form that I have - note that the flowers is at an angle from the upright stem
creamy white flower form - it have longer petals and different shaped leaves than the maroon form.
