"This selection of canna seed shows their diversity. To sow, use a small tri-file to score the hard outer coat just until you see the white below. Start seeds off in a soak of 1" depth hot to the hand water. Leave seeds in a warm place changing water often to not go bad. In a little while you will see a small white sprout peaking thru. Place sprouted seed in a jiffy pot or verniculite. In a few days you will see a new little plant. Establish in individual pots before setting out. Most canna started from seed in spring will bloom before frost. Canna seed in warm climates will many times sprout where they fall.
