Reseeds in Michigan. Will grow very tall when the weather is right.
I have seen it 6-8 feet.
Variegated Version of this plant has soft pink blooms and very soft variegated leaves.
Photo taken at Monitcello, summer 2004.
These black shiny seeds are what is left after the flower spray dries. The dead flower flakes off and the plant can self-seed in some areas.
Mine have reached over 8 ft. tall this year! They are light and airy and the finches love to go from branch to branch.
Darling bright pink clusters dangling from tall branches that sway in the breeze.
Reseeded from East to West along the South side of the pond and garden.
Moist ground and full sun grew this Kiss-Me-Over-The-Garden-Gate. My friend Al stands 6'4" and couldn't reach the top.
Kiss Me Over the Garden Gate planted behind daylilies and phlox, rises and bows over them so pretty in a hot Oklahoma cottage garden
