A temperature scale in which zero degrees is the freezing point of water and 100 degrees is the boiling point. Temperature in this scale is generally denoted by °C or, in scientific usage, C alone. Also referred to as Centigrade
Since in the Celsius scale there are 100 degrees between freezing and boiling, and in the Fahrenheit scale there are 180 degrees between the same points, one degree C equals 1.8 degrees F. To convert C to F, multiply C by 1.8, then add 32. Example: 10C X 1.8= 18, plus 32 = 50F
