The seed of a rose called a rose hip.

Also known as "rose hep" or a "rose haw" it is the fruit or seed pod of the rose.
Some roses have very showy hips that add fall color and winter food for wildlife.
Rose hips are very high in vitamin C and bioflavonoids, they also used to make jelly and herbal teas.
