Definition as written by Monocromatico:

This is a species of the genus Xylocopa, gathering nectar from Neomarica candida. These bumblebees can go to about any flower and get pollen or nectar.

It also does the curious "buzz pollination". In flowers with poricide anthers, the only way to expel the pollen is by shaking the anthers, and this bee does it with fast movements. This event can be seen in Senna, Tibouchina and Solanum.
