Definition of epigeal

Categorized under "General"

Definition as written by Terry:

Referring to plants growing above ground (as most plants do); or the emerging cotyledon during the germination process.

Definition as written by bluespiral:

In the lily group, epigeal is the opposite of hypogeal; that is, seeds will germinate when exposed to about 70*F without the required hoops that hypogeal seeds have to go through. See my definition for hypogeal.
