Definition as written by Terry:

A soil-borne fungus that kills young seedlings - see also damping off

It can also infect lawns, causing rings and spots.

As with most diseases, the best treatment is prevention: careful watering and planting practices, using sterilized medium for seedlings; and sterilizing previously used containers before planting in them. If fusarium wilt appears (especially in the lawn), traditional fungicides may be necessary.

Definition as written by Magpye:

This fungal disease is soil borne and causes wilting and death mostly in herbaceous plants. Often represented as the 'V' in VFN in plant tags that denote fusarium resistant.
