Definition of hoops

Categorized under "General"

Definition as written by Terry:

A rib-like structure that can support fabric to create a tunnel-lie covering for a row of plants. Typically constructed of pieces of wire or PVC pipe anchored to each side of the planting row.

Definition as written by bluespiral:

a process involving intricate steps that can vary extensively - such as those involving germination among species belonging to a single genus. In circuses from less enlightened times, tigers would literally be expected to jump through hoops (sometimes on fire) before being allowed to rest on a chair or in their cage for the enjoyment of human audience, instead of being free to do whatever tigers like to do in a more pleasant jungle environment for their own amusement.
