A non-systemic, wide-spectrum organophosphate insecticide recommended for sucking and chewing insects. Has relatively low toxic effects on mammals.

Also known as carbophos, maldison and mercaptothion.

Commercially marketed as Celthion, Cythion, Dielathion, El 4049, Emmaton, Exathios, Fyfanon and Hilthion, Karbofos and Maltox.
