Definition as written by Wingnut:

Abruptly coming to an end, as if broken or bitten off.

Definition as written by palmbob:

Many palms have premorse leaflets- all are pinnate palms, but instead of having lancelote, tapering leaflets, the leaflet has a jagged, bitten off, or irregular end. Some even look as if they have been cut off neatly by a pinking shears. Foxtail palms (Wodyetia) are probably the most well known example of palms with premorse leaflets.
