Definition of sprinkling in

Categorized under "General"

Definition as written by Terry:

When seeds are sown - either directly into the garden, or into flats - a small amount of water may be applied in a gentle sprinkle to ensure the seed makes good contact with the soil. Care should be taken to not overwater or apply the water in a strong stream, as that may dislodge the seeds or send them too deep in the soil.
