Categorized under "General" Definition as written by Wingnut: Planting seeds of a new crop among the plants of a mature crop so they will have a head start when the mature crop is done. This is done so more crops per year can be brought to maturity in the same planting space. Similar to succession planting, but this is done in the same space and usually with different types of crops.
