feather-like

Definition as written by palmbob:

IN the palm world, a plumose leaf is one that is not only pinnate (feather-like) but has leaflets arranged on at least two different planes. This gives the leaf a full, 3-dimensional \'plume\' look rather than one of a flat feather. The most common example of a plumose palm is a Queen palm (Syagrus romanzoffiana). This is in contrast to a non-plumose pinnate palm, such as a king palm (Archontonphoenix cunninghammiana) or Majesty palm (Ravenea rivularis).
