Definition as written by htop:

Remontancy is the characteristic of plants that permits them to rebloom in distinct phases or after periods of rest two or more times in a season. The plant does not have to be deadheaded for more blooms to be produced. Free flowerng (repeat blooming) roses are examples of plants that exhibit remontance. Scabiosa 'Butterfly Blue' and Coreopsis 'Moonbeam' are examples of perennials that continuously set flower buds on new growth and are both examples of plants that possess this characteristic.
