An arrangement of stones and rocks that imitates the look of a stream bed although no water is present. A dry creek is a waterless water feature and gives the impression of flowing water.

A dry creek is sometimes constructed for beauty as well to direct water runoff following heavy rains. When it serves this dual purpose, it may also be referred to as a swale
