Reduplicate refers to the orientation of a pinnate leaf that has a \'V\' shape in cross section (as many palms have). Reduplicate leaflets have the \'V\' opening up towards the soil, as opposed to \'Induplicate\' leaves who\'s leaflets have the \'V\' oriented in the opposite direction (opening up towards the sky). most pinnate palms with V shaped leaflets in cross section are reduplicate. Below is a Jubaeaopsis caffra leaf showing the reduplicate leaflets
