Definition of thin soil

Categorized under "General"

Definition as written by Terry:

Refers to an area where soil is sparse and digging down a few inches may reveal bedrock

Some plants require thin soil to perform their best - a local example is our native Echinacea tennesseeinsis, which is found growing naturally on the thin soil under cedar trees
