By melody:
3/8" long metallic green beetles with copper brown wing covers. These insects cause widespread damage feeding on plant material. They feed on about 300 species of plant, ranging from roses to poison ivy. Odor seems to be a factor in their selection of food plants. Large groups of beetles do the most damage, feeding on the soft tissue between the veins of leaves, causing the skeletonized appearance that is characteristic of this pest. They prefer to feed on plants in direct sunlight and can cause much damage.
