By themikeman:
A bud and flower formation site where the buds and flowers grow tightly together forming a large compact area of these buds or flowers on a female plant or plant with female parts. Unfortunately, the term is often synonymous with the cannabis plant and the related illegal growing of the plant for the drug trade, but many healthy different varieties of plants produce what is referred to among gardeners as a cola. Either a large main cola up the center of the plant, or numerous smaller structure colas forming around outside areas of a plant. This slang gardening term, cola originates from the same spanish word cola, which means tail. An example I can think of is the cleome plant, which produces a large main cola. This particular rose cleome cola below has been fertilized/pollenated by male pollen from some nearby blooming rose cleome plants and is now also exhibiting these whiskery looking seed pods around the main cola of some still blooming female flowers
