I am very pleased with my daylily order. The plants are large, clearly labeled, and look healthy. Communication was excellent, and Nina emailed when the plants were shipped.

Previously, I had ordered irises from her, which were also wonderful. After that positive experience, I knew her daylilies would also be great. I will definitely be ordering more from Daylily Haven Iris Gardens.

I bought from Nina last year.........and it was a GOOD experience. She communicated well with me (as busy as she was) via e-mail. I received labeled, freshly dug, good sized plants from her. She worked with me well. I would surely buy from her again.


On May 21st, 2008, Margiempv changed the rating from positive to neutral and added the following:

Currently I'm changing my comments to neutral. Now that they are beginning to bloom I see I have received at least one misnamed variety. I've just sent off an e-mail to see how this will be handled and if this will be remedied. I'll let you know the results. I have hopes that this will continue to be a GOOD experience.
On June 3rd, 2008, Margiempv changed the rating from neutral to negative and added the following:

After waiting for over 10 days, Nina still had not responded to my e-mail, so I e-mailed her again. She did answer! however.......She (not so nicely) told me it was "daylily season not iris ". She did not offer a refund.

She said she sent and thought I would like "Burning Oak" instead of the one I ordered (because the other had smaller rhizomes). AND now she wants ME to pay out of my own pocket to send the wrong iris she purposely sent me - back to her if I want "Bronzette Star".

Her response was news to me, because she labeled it "Bronzette Star" (not "Burning Oak") and never told me what she did. On the order form - - I wrote no substitutions.

I told her I did not agree with paying shipping expenses to send it back when it was not my mistake, but that I would pay for it anyway. I believe this is the first time I've ever had to pay shipping costs to send something back to a company for a mistake the business PURPOSELY made (and PURPOSELY labeled wrong) assuming I would like something else better.

Sadly, I have no way of knowing if she'll send me the right now this time. Others that I ordered from her last year did not bloom this year, so I'm now wondering if they are wrong too.

If this transaction changes for the good - - I'll change the rating. I believe in giving 2nd and 3rd chances.


On June 3rd, 2008, Margiempv changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following:

Update: Nina has kindly offered to reimburse the shipping cost on the return of this iris. We are currently e-mailing each other back and forth now in hopes of working this out. I\'m thinking this may have a happy ending for both of us. :-) I\'ll keep you posted.

I have ordered from Nina Morgan for over 5 years and have NEVER had anything but beautiful, large, clean plants. The one time that she was unable to provide one of the plants ,I received a refund AND two bonus plants FREE. I have never had any trouble contacting her either by phone or e-mail. She is knowledgeable about her products and fair in her treatment of customers.

I found Ms. Morgan to be very pleasant to deal with-- responsive to my concerns/emails and a provider of very nice plants, particularly for the prices paid. The bonus was a very nice cultivar. The package contained a handwritten packing list, and thank you.

I wouldn't hesitate to order from her again.

I placed an order with Mrs. Morgan in June 2007, and sent her a check. I had made the check out to Daylily Haven (my error). Mrs. Morgan would not cash my check. I asked her to return it so that I could send her another one made out to her personally, as she requested.

I did not receive my original check back. I sent her three e-mails, and got no answer from her. I called her telephone number 5 or 6 times before I finally was able to get in touch with her. She said she had sent the original check back, but I have not received it, as of August 10.

I sent her a second check and she sent me most of the daylilies that I ordered. Upon opening the box and sorting out the daylilies, I discovered two were missing from my order: 1) Elegantissima and 2) Vintage Bordeaux. I sent her an e-mail advising her of this. She replied that her husband had put money in the box refunding me the cost of Elegantissima, and that she had sent Vintage Bordeaux in the box. I wrote her back, telling her that I had received no money in the box and no Vintage Bordeaux.

I have yet to hear from her. I am of the opinion that enough time has gone by that I should have received either the missing daylilies or a refund.

While her plants were nice, fresh and clean, I would never purchase anything else from her. I am minus two plants that I paid for, and at this writing, it appears that I have no prospect of replacement.

Just received an order from Nina and was VERY impressed. The plants were generous size, clean and very well packed and shipped. She also sent several bonus plants that looked just as nice as the plants I paid for and were beautiful varieties. I will definitely be a repeat customer! The prices are also really great!!!
