My wife and I were married in 1969 and we have to grown children and 3 grandchildren. We purchased a home in Queen Creek which is about 40 miles SE from Phoenix and have lived here for 5 years. I found Dave's Garden while searching the Internet looking for some guidance on when to plant vegetables and herbs in Arizona. When it comes to gardening I am more into herbs and vegetables than other plants although I do have many of them to care for in the landscape. Other areas of interest to me are the recipe and cooking forums. I like to cook and one of my hobbies is making a variety of sausages. I used to watch my Grandmother make sausages and have always been fascinated with it. I am a prolific reader of paperback novels and favor a variety of authors ranging from Ludlum to L'Amore to Tolkien.Throw in a little golf, hunting, fishing and poker and you know who I am.
