Thanks to the generosity of so many wonderful traders here, I have been able to enjoy a wide variety of seeds and plants. My own interests include hybridizing most of the plants I grow, including Hemerocallis, Heuchera, Hibiscus and Hosta. My favorite plant is the bigeneric hybrid, X Pardancanda norrisii, more commonly known as the candy lily. It was the product of a cross of Pardanthopsis and Belamcanda, first made successfully by Samuel N. Norris. There are endless variations in colors and patterns when grown from seed. I am selecting seeds for larger blooms and better colors in an attempt to popularize this little know and underused perennial. If you are interested in trying some Pardancanda, please email me for seed availability.
