Photography has been the top of that list since 1955 but as I travelled recording things that were pretty and/or interesting, arboretums and other flora were a frequent subject. I had grown some balcony planters decades before and some small areas of a family house circa 1994 but never had any land of my own until I bought my little house in the desert in Nov 2007. Admiring and thinking about the land that came with my little house, having it say to me "hey guy, I'm useful", is what restarted my interest in growing at least one edible that has been extremely hard to find in stores and then in gardening."
