"I am a displaced Hurricane Katrina survivor who lost all my plants, both inside & outside. Unfortunately, insurance refused to cover a lot of the necessities, not to mention the little extras that make you feel good (like plants). Finances have been limited since then, so if anyone is ever thinning out, cutting back, eliminating, etc. of any plants that grow in my zone (7a-b), I've become very comfortable with "hand-outs." "
