"I started gardening 12 yrs ago upon receiving 'First Prize' (rose) as a wedding gift. I have evolved into a lover of gardening and garden photography. My "collections" include 18 or so cannas, 18 or so roses, 295+ daylilies, and many other perennials, including dahlias, garden phlox, hibiscus, dianthus, dicentra, columbine, iris, peonies, foxglove, echinacea, black-eyed susan, and a few hostas. My second hobby is "mamaw" to a 5yr old grandaughter. She's an angel! My dear beloved husband (took having a bad one to know a good one!) helps me in the garden, too, by keeping me with fresh "sweet tea" and a hot bath to soothe those aching muscles (bless his heart) but he has not had to mow or weed-eat in over 6 years!!"

"This is me in my "yard hat" with my (then) 3 yr old grandaughter, Emily. She loves to help me in the garden, especially when it involves the water hose. She loves to help me water, but last time, she watered ME!! On purpose! LOL She is a mischievous little rascal!"
