"As suggested in this thread, my emergency contacts here at DG are Lotusblossom (my mom), Howie (my husband) and Dea.
I have a lot of kin here at DG, mostly by choice, but some by blood or marriage (not that I wouldn't choose 'em):

Howie and I have been happily married since 1992 and we're owned by two cats and two dogs. If dog and cat hair could be spun into gold like the straw was in Rumpelstiltskin, we'd never want for anything!
We have a 45x150' city lot governed by a lovely old sycamore and two tall firs. We enjoy growing both perennials and annuals, along with shrubs and ornamental grasses. We're moving toward lower-maintenance plants more each year. Our veggie garden is in front of our house -- Hey, that's where the sun shines on our tree-blessed lot! We have a small ornamental fish pond by our back patio, too.
