I agree that this is not a very Obedient Plant!
It spreads everywhere and has to be dug out, cause if simply pulled it will sprout back in no time.

One good thing about it though is that it will grow in nasty conditions where not much else will. I have it growing in baked dry clay soil in part shade and it does well.

This plant is not very "obedient", after struggling with it for a few years, I ripped it all out and sent it to the back field. It will take over the world if allowed. I had a little success by planting it in a burried plastic ring, 8" in depth, but the plant grows so vigorously it choked itself out in no time. Its quite happy now growing on the tree line at the back of the property.

This is a relatively carefree garden perennial which thrives in almost any soil and even in part shade. It rarely blooms before September 1st here and then continues until killing frost. The flowers are sensitive to touch, and can be moved from one position to another by a nudge with the finger.
