Lilium philadelphicum grows wild in Saskatchewan in areas where they have not been eradicated by spraying, overgrazing and careless picking.
It is the floral emblem of Saskatchewan.
From seed they take four or more years to produce flowers.
The tiny scales on the bulbs will also produce new bulbs and flower in about htree years.
Most effective in a group and shown off by other contrasting wildflowers such as harebells, blazing star.and Lady slippers
