I planted my black dalea next to a brick wall on the western exposure of my house in full sun. I believe I planted it in September and it has thrived up until the most recent frost. It can take full sun in an oven and come out ok. It handles neglect very well but wont tolerate wet soils.

It grows from seed easily but they must be kept dry or they will rot.

Seems to grow moderately fast with some care. Mine has not bloomed yet.
