Mittleider Grow-Box Gardens describes growing in containers, and it is the first one of his books I read. I loved it and still do! Because Jacob continues to experiment (he's still doing it in his 80's!) and improve his methods, some small things are changed in his most recent books.

For example, he now prefers to grow in narrow Grow-Boxes of 18"-wide, and sometimes uses 4'-wide boxes, but no longer recommends 5' widths. Reasons include easier access to plants and easier, more efficient watering in narrower beds.

Also, his natural mineral nutrient formulas have been improved somewhat over the years, but with this book and the free updated information on Dr. Mittleider's website at www.foodforeveryone.org, in the Gardening Techniques section, you can have all the great things that are unique to this, his first book, and also have the latest updates on size, fertilizers, etc.

This book will live in your garden with you! I highly recommend it.
