A lot of useful information in this book. As a fairly new beginner I find it very useful. From annuals, bulbs, perennials to shrubs, vines and so on. Has sections on designing a new garden bed, planting the garden, testing the soil and the different additives to improve the quality of your soil. A great section on different plants with great pictures. Also Hybridizing, grafting, coping with garden pests, caring for your garden and a great section of different flower bed "blue prints" to follow and set up if you wish. Tons of information. I can see I will be using this book a lot.
As an amatuer to flower gardening & home ownership I found this book very helpful. It spoke to me in very simplistic terms. I was the first to check it out from my small town library and after posting here will search the web for the cheapest "Bible".
