Gardening in the city, on rooftops, small spaces, containers, soil types, amendments, growing methods are also features. There are chapters too on individual vegetables and fruits such as berries, melons, figs, and citrus that one may wish to grow: from lettuces and radishes to potatoes, cole crops and peas, tomatoes; even types of nuts are covered!
Finally, keeping your garden fed and healthy, pest free, well-watered and weeded is discussed. Each page is packed with information, and there are even recommendations on what to buy for different needs.
This is a concise, well written book and would be a help to both novice and experienced gardeners for reference. |
