A very informative book. They concentrate on plants that come back reliably every year in spite of less than perfect garden conditions. Since reading it, I have modified my perennial wish list considerably, thereby saving myself lots of money and aggravation. I was particularly interested in the chapter on tough bulbs. I have had a very difficult time with my early blooming bulbs since moving to Cape Cod. They gave me some reasons why and some suggestions of what bulbs to plant instead. I can’t wait till spring when I get the results!
