Great book. I'll gladly confirm the recommendations of the others. My copy is dog-eared & tattered & very well-read. Actually it is at this very moment residing in a corner of my 12 year old son's bunk bed as he is planning this year's veggie garden!
Great book, very detailed instructions for growing and using a variety of Asian vegetables -- amaranth, mizuna, mustards, bitter melon, fuzzy gourd, yard long beans, bean sprouts, lotus, burdock, taro, and others. It's very well written and contains cooking guidelines and lovely black & white illustrations. It really made me want to try a water garden! There's a section on container gardening too.
Excellent book. Contains information ranging from propagation to care to harvest of many Oriental-type vegetables and herbs (even covers the uses of daylilly). And, of course, this book offers Culinary and other uses of the plants mentioned
Chapters cover Chinese Greens, Cucurbits, Snow Peas, Beans, Cabbages, Bean sprouts, Herbs, and even Water Gardens! More chapters are devoted to Container Gardening, Oriental/English names of plants, Sources for seed, planting guide, and also Organic Fertilization.
