Nice big book but far from complete... goes over a lot of ferns, but not nearly all of them, and photos of only a few here and there. Not sure why plant 'encyclopedias' are always so deficient in their covering a certain plant group.. I think if you are calling your book an encyclopedia, EVERY plant in that group should be included. This encyclopedia is also very weak on taxonomy. You can't tell what fern family any plant is in (espeically annoying when trying to add ferns to the database). But so far it's the most complete book on ferns I've found. Unfortunately it's out of print now. Bummer.
